Named after a beautiful and rugged region in Terra Nova National Park, Newfoundland and Labrador, Newman Sound was formed in 2005 by David Chafe, Kellie Walsh and Douglas Dunsmore. This is a true community choir of more than forty experienced singers representing the professions of music, teaching, engineering, law, civil service, marketing, information technology and journalism.

Shining a Light on French Choral Music
The Quebec Chamber Choir is a group dedicated to the creation, broadcasting and recording of vocal works, mainly French-language. The Quebec Chamber Choir aims to enrich the contribution of the Francophone community to the Canadian choral repertoire through its mandate to promote French with a stimulating and diversified repertoire.
Creating, Exploring & Celebrating
Founded in 1987 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Elektra’s mandate is to inspire and lead in the choral art form through excellence in performance and the creation, exploration, and celebration of women’s repertoire. With a concert series and frequent commissioning at its core, the choir offers extensive outreach programs and repertoire resources for choirs worldwide.

For nearly 25 years, Oakville Choir for Children and Youth (formerly The Oakville Children’s Choir) has provided exceptional music education and leadership training to young people. As a forward-thinking organization, they believe that providing a fun, safe and educational space for youth to express themselves, encourages them to find their voice and use it as a force for good in this world.
A Chorus of Young Labradorean Voices
Ullugiagâtsuk Choir is an auditioned choir with choristers in grades 7-12, from the five Nunatsiavut communities: Nain, Hopedale, Makkovik, Postville and Rigolet. The students practice in their own communities, in addition to group workshops 2-3 times a year, prior to performances. Their performances are in both Inuktitut and English and are highlighted by drum dancing and throat singing.

An Ensemble Choral Performance
Composed by Andrew Staniland, this mass ensemble piece featured all …float… choirs in an interactive performance. Weaving through a spiral of audience members sitting on blue blankets, the choirs delivered a final performance that put concert-goers directly into the performance and perfectly summed up the message of the event.
